We liked the fact that our room balcony overlooked the mountains and not the events that were taking place the night we stayed. We were able to eat our dinner on the balcony, listen to music and just enjoy the city lights and view In the morning after breakfast, we went upstairs and sat outside on the balcony and enjoyed the view of the mountains. The room itself was very clean and the bed was way more comfortable than the last room we had we we stayed last year. We liked the breakfast!! OMG, last few times we stayed at the lodge, there wasn't much to the "breakfast". It was in the main lobby and by the time we arrived to get the continental breakfast by 8am, there wasn't much left. This time, we were amazed to see the breakfast burritos, sausage biscuits and other variety of things and we got to eat in the restaurant and not have to eat in the room. We're not sure if they went all out because of the events that took place at the hotel that weekend but we enjoyed it. This is what made the cost equal what the lodge had to offer.

the Lodge felt a bit like an oasis or island - self-contained and surrounded by trees and greenery (the setting and architectural style reminded me of the Others' community in the TV show "Lost" -- I mean that as a compliment) the grounds are spacious and quite pleasant our room had a comfortable king bed and powerful AC for hot days there is a cool old-school bar (with an affable bartender) as well as a laundry room (with a vending machine where you can buy a single load worth of detergent) the housekeeping staff was professional plenty of parking *in theory you can walk from the Lodge up the hill to Los Gatos Blvd and then into downtown Los Gatos, but those are busy streets

The room size of this hotel is great as well as the location. Also, we were pleasantly surprised to have a nice hot breakfast which consisted of sausage, scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes, oatmeal, fruit. They still have the breakfast burritos if that's what you like but we were happy with the eggs, sausage and potatoes. There were a few issues with our room and addressed them with the evening clerk, in which she was amazing and we were able to resolve them with management before we left, which was awesome.

The breakfast was great. We got there early enough to get the croissant sausage breakfast sandwich. The room was great, nice view of the pool and garden. the location is always good, right off of the highway 17. We had the opportunity to eat dinner at the onsite restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. The food was great. The service was awesome and the drinks were very tasty.

The property had a lot of open space with beautiful green grass. The property is dated, but that is part of the charm. We had cocktails and appetizers in the bar area and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Parking was easy and the bed was comfortable. The balcony off the back of the room was an added bonus.
